What is a Home Inspection

 



According to the Home Inspector Licensure Act Statutes and Rules, Oct 1, 2022, a home inspection is a written evaluation, based on observation or noninvasive testing, of two or more of the following components of a residential building: heating system, cooling system, plumbing system, electrical system, structural components, foundation, roof, masonry structure, exterior and interior components, or any other related residential housing component. Noninvasive testing means testing methods that do not result in any damage to a component or system, such as tearing, puncturing, or gouging, provided that probing a wood component or system to inspect for deterioration is permissible.
